Eiríkur Bragason is a globally recognized geothermal energy executive and power project leader with more than 25 years of experience developing and delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Arctic Green Energy in Singapore, where he oversaw international operations and strategic expansion initiatives. Prior to that, he held Chief Executive Officer roles at KS Orka Renewables and Orka Energy, leading complex geothermal developments and scaling project portfolios across emerging and established markets.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Bragason was Chief Project Manager for Power Plants at Reykjavík Energy, where he led major infrastructure initiatives including the Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant in Iceland, one of the world’s largest geothermal facilities at 300 MWe and 400 MWth. His international experience includes senior leadership roles in Indonesia (200 MW Sorik Marapi geothermal project), the Philippines (50 MW geothermal steam field development), China (480 MWth district heating portfolio), Brazil (150 MW wind farms), and multiple geothermal heating and power projects across Central Europe.
Mr. Bragason holds a Dipl.-Ing. in Engineering Structures and Project Management from Technische Universität Berlin, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Iceland, and a degree in Business and Administration. He has also lectured on power project management at the University of Reykjavik and the University of Iceland. Fluent in Icelandic, English, and German, he brings deep technical expertise and executive leadership to complex energy developments worldwide.
